I’m Sasha Stukalska and I’m a chef and culinary artist from Odesa, in southern Ukraine. I grew up cooking with my family in our summer house which we call a very warm word «dacha».This early experience kindled a fire and a passion for cooking and instilled me to find my own aesthetic and taste in food.
After I graduated from Ferrandi culinary school in Paris and worked at the Michelin-star restaurant Antoine, I came back to my Ukraine to unify cuisine, art and work and I became a chef. In Kyiv, I played a crucial role to opening charming TCP cinematography bar and cuisine. Once back to Odesa, I fulfilled a cherished dream by launching Lola, my own bistro with focus on local, seasonal food and natural wine. Earlier, I had got interested in zero waste production and it led me to start a program of sustainable restaurant business at Rene Redzepi’s MAD academy in Copenhagen.
Currently, I am preparing charity dinners and successful pop-ups across Europe, in cities such as Paris, Amsterdam, Geneva, Riga, and Tbilisi. For me, it's not just about the food; it's about forging on the personal connections which I build up with clients through unforgettable dinners and events.
My culinary philosophy rests on three guiding principles: finding joy in what you do, infusing beauty into both your life and work, respecting seasons and land that sustains us. Each dish I create is a love letter to my homeland—a testament to the vibrant and beautiful cuisine that defines it or can transfer to something unique that I and my customers can create together.
In February 2024 I started a project "BUTTER BURO". BUTTER BURO is a creative buro, based on the idea that food is an aesthetic and hedonistic part of our life. We do visual food experience, concept catering, and private dining. Playing a lot with butter, we set a vision to discover food from different sides and angles. We create ideas and cook food. Based in Paris and work worldwide.
